Hedge maintenance looks a little different on a commercial job compared to a typical back garden. The scale is usually bigger, the hedge is often the first thing people see from the street, and there is less room for error since the work is right on view to passers-by and neighbouring properties.
This job was exactly that. The client was a commercial property with a long boundary hedge running the length of the street frontage. It had grown out and lost its shape, which is common with a hedge this size when it only gets attention once or twice a year rather than on a regular schedule.
We worked the full length of the hedge, cutting it back to a clean, even height and straightening the line along the top and sides. All of the cuttings were cleared and removed as we went, so the pavement and road frontage were left tidy rather than scattered with trimmings at the end of the day.
A hedge like this does more for a property than people often think. It is usually the first impression anyone gets of a building from the street, and a neat, well-kept hedge makes the whole frontage look cared for, whereas an overgrown one can make even a well-maintained building look neglected.
We work with property managers, landlords and commercial clients across South East London and Kent on exactly this kind of job, whether it is a one-off tidy-up or a regular contracted schedule. If you look after a site with hedges, boundaries or grounds that need keeping in order, we are happy to come and take a look and give you a free, no-obligation quote.
